In 2009 my husband and I contacted Barry Taylor of Taylor Piano Restorations to rebuild our quite elderly Steinway Grand Piano. His apparent skill and experience with all facets of piano care immediately convinced us that he was the right person for the job. He presented proposals of different levels of restoration and then left the decisions to us without any signs of pressure. Not only was his restoration accomplished with care and much attention to detail, his follow-up care is superb. We would not have anyone else work on our beloved piano.

I have known Barry Taylor for 30 plus years and from the time I got out of college, I knew that one day, I wanted to have my very own baby grand piano. Years ago I had seen some of the pianos that Barry was restoring and having seen some of the finished restoration projects, I knew that when the time was right, I would ask Barry to help me find my own piano. It wasn't long after I asked Barry to be on the lookout for a piano that he called and told me he had found one that he thought would be an incredible piano once it was restored. Today, I have a beautiful 1927 Wm. Knabe & Co grand piano that looks and sounds amazing (not that my piano playing is amazing, but the sound sure is). From the pictures Barry provided of the piano at the time he found it to the piano that now sits in my living room, it is evident that a tremendous amount of amazing work was done and the finished product is something I will treasure forever. It is obvious that Barry Taylor is very, very skilled at what he does and he takes a great deal of pride in his work. I smile just thinking about the beautiful piano that I know I'll enjoy for many, many years to come. Anyone that ever comes to visit and sees it comments on how awesome it is. - Carla Cash Rolen
